Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency

The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency is a reality television series that debuted on Oxygen on June 6, 2006. The series follows self-proclaimed world's first supermodel, Surreal Life alumna and former America's Next Top Model judge Janice Dickinson as she prepares to launch her own modeling agency, also called The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. Dickinson believes that the next logical step for her career is to form a modeling agency, using the credibility that her 30 years of experience has given her. The agency opened for business in November 2005.

The first season follows her opening the agency, including the difficulty in finding models, getting them "camera ready," obtaining financial backing and establishing a reputation for her agency. Subsequent seasons have followed the development of the agency and its models. A number of the male models are openly gay, and a number of the agency's clients are gay-oriented businesses. This has resulted in many of the episodes and storylines being gay in theme.

On October 18, 2006, Oxygen announced that the series had been renewed for a second season. A holiday special, Christmas with the Dickinsons, debuted December 13. The second season premiered January 10, 2007.

On June 21, 2007, Oxygen announced that the series was renewed for a third season with casting beginning July 28, 2007. Season 3 premiered December 4, 2007.

The fourth season premiered August 26, 2008.

Janice Dickinson decides to open her very own self-titled modeling agency. She works in collaboration with business partner Peter Hamm to handle the affairs of the agency, yet creative differences set them apart.

The show begins when Janice holds an open call in her original location, responded by approximately 500 model-wannabes. After hiring 5 amateur models, the location of the agency moves to a bigger area. Janice finds a partner in Peter Hamm, who causes conflicts between her, himself and the subsequent models that get hired. As time passes, the agency suffers financial loss as Janice reveals she has been borrowing money from Peter to fund the agency, and in order to survive, several models are to be retrenched. At the end of the season, the agency launches their billboard at Sunset Boulevard, and zed cards are administered to the new roster of models.
